Designated Traditional Settlement has been the official historical seat of the island since 2004. It was inhabited after the Fall of the Konstantinoupolis by the residents of the seaside settlements (Koinira – Aliki – Thymonia – Astrid), to avoid pirate depredations. In 1779, during the Ottoman Empire, it became the capital of Thassos, until 1840. Visit the Church of Agia Paraskevi and Agios Dimitrios, the "Mansion of Hatzigiorgis" (Folklore Museum) and wander around the "The Theologian's Fountains".
- Potos. The port of Theologos dated at the end of the 18th century. Named after the drinks (poto) people exported from this point.
- Astrid. Archaeological findings testify to the existence of a settlement since ancient times: known for its vines and good climate.
- Holy Monastery of Archangel Michael. Women's pilgrimage monastery for the grace of Archangel Michael. It was founded at the command of the Archangel Michael to the ascetic Luke, in 1110 AD, as a small church that exuded holiness.
- Aliki. During antiquity and Byzantine times, Aliki was a transit and commercial center due to the flourishing of the marble trade. It was destroyed by a pirate raid in 1651 AD. The archaeological site includes a sanctuary dedicated to the Dioscuri and two three-aisled early Christian basilicas (4th -7th century).
- Koinira.The existence of mines during the Phoenician period, in 466 BC. created the city of Koinira, an ancient city with its own min
