Although Kraljevića Marka is not long street, it is full of cultural and historical monuments such as Manak's house, which is now part of the Ethnographic Museum, and the house of the great Serbian merchants Luka Ćelović and the Krsmanović brothers.
Manak's house, was built of brick and with a wooden structure. It is one of the few surviving buildings of the Balkan style. It was declared a cultural monument and a cultural asset of great importance. With its constructive features, Manak's house, located on the old regulation, documents the development of Belgrade. The Serbian merchant and richest man of the era, Luka Ćelović, is particularly important for the appearance of this street and the entire part of the town of Savamala. There used to be a pond, so the people of Belgrade had to travel by boat around that area. In this street he built his family house (1903) with a beautiful park, giving Savamala an appearance worthy of all European metropolises of the time. A few Luka Ćelović’s mansions build in this part of the town were important results of urban development of the aria.
