In one of his sketches, Kožarić placed the unusually named and shaped sculpture, resembling a mastodon skeleton or some unknown prehistoric animal, above the Croatian National Theatre. In his final proposal in 1972 for the Zagreb Salon, the sculpture on tall “legs” crosses tram lines on the intersection of Savska Street and Vukovar Avenue. Its abstract form was open for the observer to interpret at will and served as an opposition to the representative function of sculpture in the public space. Its subversive character is equally present in drawings – a humorous suggestion for alternative use of the neo-baroque building of the Croatian National Theatre as an Olympic pool.
