Ancient Agora (north-west part): political, administrative, and religious center of the city of Thassos which gradually developed in a rectangular arrangement, from the 4th century BC up to the 1st century BC. The Ancient Agora is surrounded on all four sides by arcades. Temples and sanctuaries are centrally located in the market square.  At the early 3rd century BC. the north-west portico was built, an impressive building from which some columns are preserved up to the height of the pilaster.
